Lexie Angus is a neurodivergent artist whose research-led practice explores dyslexia, perception, and creative resilience through drawing, curation, and critical engagement.
Artist Statement
Lexie Angus is an artist working primarily in charcoal. Her practice explores the lived experience of dyslexia, diagnosed at age 21, and how neurodivergence shapes creative and cognitive processes. She challenges conventional ideas of perception and language through textured mark-making, fragmentation, and reversed text. Her work integrates critical theory, disability aesthetics, and inclusive curatorial strategies, reframing dyslexia as a site of creative potential rather than deficit.
